Medical Ethics Supplement of Northeast Florida Medicine
The January 2008 supplemental issue of Northeast Florida Medicine focusing on Medical Ethics is now available online.
Topics include the basic principles of Bioethics, medical professionalism, end of life planning, DNR orders, Florida statutes involving end-of-life issues, medical futility, privacy and confidentiality as it relates to end-of-life issues, and ethical / cultural considerations in clinical practice. Florida Medicaid Reform
The
Florida Medicaid Reform pilot project began July 1, 2006 in Duval and Broward
Counties. We have established a Medicaid
Reform page to keep you informed of all the ins and out of this pilot
project. Included are resources that physicians can print and distribute to
their Medicaid eligible patients, contact information for provider networks, and
background information on the multi-year implementation of the reform project.
